What We Believe
We want to make you feel welcome, just as we were welcomed. Saint Mark’s is an inclusive community of individuals sharing their journey of faith. We come from a diverse background, each with our own path to Saint Mark’s. We come from a diverse history: some are life-long Episcopalians, some come from other Christian denominations, some regard themselves as “Spiritual”. There are some of us haven’t been inside a church for years and never expected to join a church.
As Episcopalians we are are followers of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and we believe in the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We seek to follow Jesus’ mandate to love our neighbors as ourselves and respect the dignity of every person. We sense God’s unconditional, never-ending love for us as we worship Him. We believe that God loves you and every human being-no exceptions.
We come together to share the beauty of the Episcopal liturgy and to be inspired by it’s form and text. Our worship is spiritual; we sense God’s unconditional, never ending love for us as we worship him. All are welcome to join us in the weekly celebration of the Eucharist, or Holy Communion, regardless of your religious background or baptism. Just as Jesus welcomed His disciples to His table we welcome you to ours, regardless of your religious background or baptism.
We affirm the commitment of marriage as lifelong and monogamous. Episcopalians recognize there is grace after divorce and do not deny the sacraments to those who have been divorced.
Whoever you are, where ever you come from, we would love to have you worship with us
All are welcome to find a spiritual home in Saint Mark’s
